Audience

All practitioners working with children in the early years.

Aims

Throughout the session, practitioners will learn how to support children with special educational needs and disability (SEND) by looking at how to adapt the environment, practice, and the curriculum.

Practitioners will consider how reasonable adjustments can be implemented to meet the needs of the unique child can be met.

Audience

This online session is for practitioners who are trained Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCo) within their setting. 

It is strongly recommended that SENCos' designated persons access the SENCo refresher annually, alongside attending at least one SENCo network session.

Aims

Develop an understanding of what contributes to an effective learning environment, both inside and outside

Additional information

Practitioners should update themselves on their setting's SEND procedures.

Audience

SENCo designated persons. This course is appropriate for the skills, knowledge, and experience of a level 3 practitioner, in some circumstances, a level 2 practitioner working toward a level 3.

Aims

Consider a range of developmental factors for children aged from birth to three, including the prime areas of learning.

Additional information

Settings may have a maximum of two trained designated persons - please do not book a place if you already have two trained.

Please note that this course will be delivered in three online sessions. There will be additional reading and setting-based tasks for learners to complete in between the sessions. Learners must complete all aspects, including the additional work, to complete the course.
