Audience

This course is for those with level 3 qualification and who are leading individuals or teams. For example, room leaders, deputy managers, managers of early years provision.

Aims

To understand the role of coaching and mentoring in leadership across early years.

Throughout the course, learners will:

  • Reflect on the theory of Leadership in the early years
  • Consider how coaching and mentoring can support the development of teams and individuals
  • Explore ways to embed coaching and mentoring skills within leadership.

Aims

These networks provide an opportunity for leaders to reflect on their leadership pedagogy within a community of practice.

Face to face sessions offer an opportunity to explore an early years provision with guest speakers and professional discussion based on a relevant theme.

Online sessions will include a blend of guest speakers, opportunities to network with and support fellow leaders of early years provision.

On occasion, pre-reading will be sent prior to the session.

As this is a networking opportunity, we ask all attendees to the online sessions to have their cameras on and be prepared to take part in professional dialogue.
