Cambridgeshire’s Routes to Writing
Structured pathways to inspire, engage and raise standards in writing
Cambridgeshire’s Routes to Writing is a comprehensive planning resource designed to strengthen the teaching and learning of writing across the primary years. Each unit is built around carefully selected, high-quality texts that provide a rich foundation for reading and writing. Plans follow a coherent structure that builds progressively across year groups, enabling pupils to write for authentic purposes and audiences while deepening their command of grammar and language to achieve accuracy and impact.
Aligned with curriculum expectations, Routes to Writing provides teachers with a consistent, structured approach that promotes engagement, raises attainment and supports pupils in becoming confident, independent writers.
