Cambridgeshire 0 - 19 Place Planning and Sufficiency

The 0-19 Place Planning Team is responsible for planning, reviewing and commissioning early years and childcare and school places for children and young people in the 0 to 19 age range, and up to the age of 25 for those with Special Educational Need and/or Disability (SEND), in response to housing developments and demographic change to ensure that the Council meets its statutory place planning duties.

Cambridgeshire Education Organisation Plan

The Education Organisation Plan, at the link below, provides details of the Council’s responsibilities towards childcare and education for the 0 to 19 age range, and up to the age of 25 for children and young people with SEND. It gives an overview of the projects which have been carried out in the last two years, as well as provides details of current pressures and the council’s planned response to them.

The early years chapter also links closely to the council’s Market Position Statement and provides an overview of the sufficiency of childcare places in each district, highlighting where housing development is planned, and the additional childcare which may be required as a result.
