The Education Organisation Plan, at the link below, provides details of the Council’s responsibilities towards childcare and education for the 0-19 age range, and up to the age of 25 for children and young people with Special Educational Need and Disability (SEND). It gives an overview of the projects which have been carried out in the last two years, as well as providing details of current pressures and the Council’s planned response to them.
The Early Years chapter also links closely to the Council’s Market Position Statement and provides an overview of the sufficiency of childcare places in each district, highlighting where housing development is planned, and the additional childcare which may be required as a result.
