Funding
Cambridgeshire Early Childhood Qualifications Centre (CECQC) is able to draw down funding for CECQC qualifications. Funding depends on each application and previous learning records. Our current funding provider is Cambridgeshire Skills.
We have two different pathways:
Pathway One - Starting entry requirements
This funding is for people seeking to explore or start in early childhood careers. By completing our entry-level course, learners will be equipped to make informed choices and can enrol for Level 1 and then Level 2.
Attend Exploring Early Childhood Careers.
Enrol and complete CACHE/NCFE Level 1 Introduction to Early Years Settings.
Enrol and complete CACHE/NCFE Level 2 Technical Occupational Entry for the Early Years Practitioner (Diploma).
Pathway Two - The workforce entry requirements
This funding is for people already working in early childhood and wishing to gain a recognised qualification. Practitioners can also do Level 1 Introduction to Early Years Settings to brush up on their study skills and prepare themselves for Level 2.
People new to working in the setting, including Childminding Assistants, enrol for Level 2 Technical Occupational Entry for the Early Years Practitioner (Diploma) to gain underpinning knowledge and skills within the workplace. No entry-level requirements.
The Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) Diploma is for experienced practitioners who have achieved Level 2 and GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or higher, or Functional Skills Level 2.
