January 2025

Friday 10 January – Deadline for academies to have a written agreement in place with their chosen local authority for monitoring the KS1 phonics check, the end of KS2 tests and external moderation of their KS2 English writing.

Friday 10 January – Deadline for academies not using their geographical LA for monitoring and moderation to have reported this information to STA via the PAG.

January – Guidance for registering pupils for the KS2 tests is published.

February 2025

Monday 10 February – Pupil registration form available on the PAG for all schools (including special schools) to complete for the end of KS2 tests.

Monday 10 February – Forms available on the PAG for schools to make applications for early opening, compensatory marks for spelling, additional time and timetable variations.
