Cambridgeshire STEM in the Early Years

The aim of Cambridgeshire STEM in the Early Years is to enable settings to develop new ways of supporting children’s learning in STEM-based activities, in an innovative way. Research shows that children who grow their knowledge and confidence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics develop skills to prepare for lifelong learning. STEM encourages children to think critically and encourages children’s curiosity to investigate, discover and enjoy learning.

This pathway has a range of ideas, resources and training suitable for all early years practitioners working in various settings such as day nurseries, pre-schools, childminders, nursery classes, reception classes and wrap-around provisions.
