Cambridgeshire History Conference Online

This year the Cambridgeshire History Conference will take place online, on Monday 22nd March 2021, featuring speakers with primary curriculum expertise.

Conference Aims

  • To explore effective strategies for designing a primary history curriculum
  • To develop ideas and strategies for improving teaching History in the primary school
  • To offer schools an opportunity to hear from schools where history is identified as a curriculum strength

What is the History Conference?

A series of online webinars taking place across one day, Monday 22nd March 2021, covering aspects of the History curriculum and how to design and implement an exciting and engaging curriculum that clearly builds on a progression of skills.

Who will be speaking?

A number of exciting speakers and workshop leaders, including Steve Mastin and Alex Bedford. They will be joined by Karin Doull, Jason Howard HMI and Stuart Tiffany.

Steve Mastin and Christine Counsel have recently worked with Haringey schools and subject leaders, creating history, geography and religious studies curriculum plans and teaching resources.

Karin Doull is author of Mastering Primary History, published in 2019, and the Principal Lecturer in Primary History at University of Roehampton.

Stuart Tiffany (Mr T does History) is an experienced teacher and history specialist. He is a member of the Historical Association's Primary Committee.

Jason Howard HMI has completed Ofsted subject reviews in history and will lead a session with an inspection focus.
