Project 1

Lead School/Body: Barrington

Phase: Primary

Area: South Cambs

Schools Involved: Barrington, Foxton, Petersfield

Talking Together: The BFP Oracy project. During this school year we aim to run professional development training to upskill staff, supported by Voice 21. Staff from the different schools will have release time to work together and support each other to plan oracy development into the curriculum. The staff will then work with the children to develop the physical, linguistic, cognitive and social/emotional aspects of their oracy skills to raise standards in speaking and listening.

Project 2

 

Lead School/Body: New Road Park Lane

Phase: Early Years, Primary, Secondary

Area: Huntingdon

Schools Involved: Park Lane Nursery, New Road Primary, Park Lane Primary, Sir Harry Smith Community College.

Project Summary: Identifying and reducing the impact of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) on pupils’ outcomes and welfare

Project 3

Lead School/Body: The Grove Primary, on behalf of the CB4 cluster

Phase: Early Years and Primary

Area: South Cambs

Schools Involved: The Grove, Kings Hedges, Orchard Park, Mayfield, St Lukes, Chesterton Primary

Project Summary: Developing spoken language in Early Years and Key Stage 1 in preparation for writing, including the role of parents
