We help protect and safeguard children and young people by training and supporting staff in schools, colleges and early years settings. Through our work we raise awareness of safeguarding issues and ensure that schools and settings are able to fulfil their responsibilities under current legislation and government guidance. 

We strive to promote consistent best practice and responses to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Services we offer:

We play an important role in monitoring the performance of schools and settings around safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, ensuring their meet their statutory obligations.

We produce guidance on a range of topics, including model policies in line with government guidance.

Designated Person for Child Protection – initial 2- and 1-day refresher training.

Basic Child Protection training – to whole staff at their school or setting for individuals, held at various venues around the county

Governor Training - Child Protection, E-Safety and Relevant Ofsted Requirements. Courses organised through Governor Services.

  • Divorce, Separation and Loss
  • Neglect
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Self Harm and Protective Behaviours. 

These are one day courses, held at various venues around the county.

Termly child protection information network (CPIN) meetings - twilight meetings held at various schools and early years and childcare settings across the county.

Safeguarding conferences – 1-day conferences aimed at early years, Primary, Secondary, Independent Schools and FE Colleges which provide a range of information using guest speakers and workshops.
