Peterborough School Attendance

Peterborough City Council believes that regular attendance and punctuality at school is a major factor in raising achievement and reducing disaffection across the city;

The LA has a duty to provide advice for schools, parents/carers and pupils on matters relating to pupil attendance and to bring prosecutions against the parents of pupils with poor school attendance;

The Attendance Service is the agency through which the LA discharges these responsibilities. The service consists of a team of Attendance Officers and an Elective Home Education Monitoring Officer. The team is led by the Attendance Service Team Manager (Linda Alldread linda.alldread@peterborough.gov.uk) with strategic leadership from Karen Beaton.

All relevant guidance documents are contained within this page of the website. Should you wish to discuss any matters relating to school attendance please contact either your school's link Attendance Officer or Hazel Belchamber Assistant Director of Education Hazel.belchamber@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
