Early Years Conference 2018

Building Children's Futures

Due to last year’s success, we are happy to announce the conference will once again be offered over two days, enabling more professionals to attend this higher level conference.  The dates are Thursday 1st March and Friday 2nd March 2018.

Building Children's Futures

This year we are delighted to have two internationally renowned keynote speakers who will deliver higher level presentations in the morning. This will be followed by two workshops of your choice in the afternoon. This year’s keynote speakers are:

Jean Gross (CBE)

Jean Gross is an education expert who has led many national initiatives aimed at improving the learning, attainment and wellbeing of disadvantaged children and those with special educational needs.

Jean is committed to “making a difference for children and young people who don’t have much going for them in their lives.” She is interested in providing advice and support to those who share this commitment and are working at a strategic level to make change happen for children.

Jean's keynote: Resilient children

In her keynote Jean will explore the magic trio of factors that enable these children to succeed against the odds. She will describe ways in which practitioners can help children develop the personal strengths needed to cope with challenges, hardship or adversity, becoming great early learners who can ‘bounce back’ after struggles and setbacks.

Penny Tassoni

Penny has written over 30 books many of which are best sellers in the sector. Penny is a sought after speaker both in the UK and internationally where she has worked in Istanbul, China and Japan.

Penny’s keynote: Reducing Educational Disadvantage
