Training and Support Programme

We support people employed in the early years and childcare sector to:

  • Gain qualifications in childcare and playwork, from initial qualifications through to management, degree and Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
  • Develop their careers through continuous professional development (CPD). Conferences, qualifications and courses are available to support staff delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in schools, pre-schools, out of school clubs, childminders, committees, owners, managers and governing bodies.
  • This year due to the uncertainties around coronavirus all training (with the exception of First Aid) in the autumn term will be delivered online. Our autumn term training programme of courses that we consider to be essential for providers will be published in September 2020. Most of the courses are free of charge for the autumn term, Please check the individual course page for further details.
  • In addition to the autumn term essentials programme we will also be continuing with the highly popular CPD bitesize courses.
