Cambridgeshire SEND Transformation

SEND Transformation Secondment Opportunity

Cambridgeshire County Council is running a project to create a document/resource for schools and education settings to define for them what provision should be (ordinarily) available for children and young people with SEND in Cambridgeshire, within the notional funding.

The Local Authority knows that schools and settings are working hard to support children and young people (CYP) and we want to support schools and teachers to create clarity around what should ordinarily be available for children with Special Educational Needs in Cambridgeshire at SEND Support.

We are looking to second SENCos on a part-time basis (within spring and summer terms 2022) to be involved in writing and developing materials for this resource.

The role will include:

  •  Working alongside SEND Service colleagues, (Specialist Teachers, Specialist Practitioners and Educational Psychologists) parents and other school professionals.
  • Researching SEND Support in practice in schools
  • Writing content for the resource, by area of need
  • Developing multi-media resources that work for schools, professionals, parents, and young people.
  • Facilitating focus groups

To apply please complete an expression of interest form here or use the word document below, which should be emailed to send.transformation@cambridgeshire.gov.uk by noon on Friday 7 January 2022.
